Leaked Photos Reveal Upcoming Foldable Drone by Zerotech
It looks like a new brand is planning to enter the foldable camera drone market soon. This time it’s Zerotech — makers of the popular Dobby selfie drone. The company’s upcoming foldable drone seems like it was designed to compete directly against the DJI Mavic Pro.
Chinese DJI fan site sb-dji.com recently published several supposedly leaked photos of the new Zerotech drone and they show what appears to be a highly compact design that has taken a few design cues from the Mavic Pro. This includes foldable propellers and front and rear motor arms that fold in on top of each other.
The photos also show the name Zerotech Hunter printed on the drone’s fuselage. What can’t be seen in the photos is the drone’s camera and for the time being we can only speculate if it will be stabilized by a mechanical gimbal or if it will be a fixed camera with in-camera stabilization.
When fully folded, the Hunter appears slightly larger than a can of beer. The website also mentions that the Hunter will have a flight time of about 7 to 15 minutes and a control range of approximately 1.5 km. If and when it is released, the Zerotech Hunter will compete directly against the Mavic Pro and the larger GoPro Karma.
