The New FuriBee H801 Is the Smallest FuriBee to Date

FuriBee has just released its smallest toy drone ever — the new H801 which is about the size of a Tiny Whoop. It is also the most inexpensive FuriBee currently available and has a design similar to other micro FPV racers.

The H801 features ducted motors and a fully enclosed canopy design which also gives adequate protection to its WiFi FPV camera. The camera has a resolution of 2MP and is capable of shooting HD 720P video. Most impressive of all is the H801’s price which at the moment is less than $33 at GearBest. In fact, if you purchase it between October 23 and 30, you can get it for just $30 shipped. After October 30, the price is expected to go up to $33.

Product Highlights
  • 2MP HD 720P WiFi FPV camera
  • Automated 3D flips
  • Fly-by-app (RC transmitter included)
  • One-key return
  • Headless mode
  • 80 – 100m control range
  • Ducted motors
  • Approximately 5 minutes flight time

2MP cameras on toy drones that cost less than $50 is still a bit of a rarity although they are becoming more common. It would be interesting to see what sort of image quality it is capable of producing. Product pages do not mention much detail about the camera so there’s no information at the moment about what kind of optics it uses or what field of view (FOV) it has.

Judging from its spec sheet, it appears the H801 was designed to be part selfie drone and part casual sport flier. Its highly compact size and 2MP camera means the H801 can function as an entry-level selfie drone while its ducted design and ability to perform flips means it can also be used for casual indoor flying. With its tiny size and brushed motors, the H801 is best flown indoors where there are no strong wind currents. Flying outdoors when it’s windy is going to be very tricky with the H801.

In conjunction with the release of the H801, GearBest is having a FuriBee promo in which four popular models (including the H801) will be available at special discounts. The promo starts today so don’t miss out on it if you’re keen to get any of these FuriBee drones at a special price.

On top of that, GearBest is also offering add-on deals for any FuriBee purchase that cost $19.99 or more. The add-ons are either $1.99 or $9.99. These add-ons include some accessories and drones such as the FuriBee F36 and the SY-X31.
