The FuriBee F90 Wasp Is a Great Indoor Flier

It was only recently that we were introduced to the FuriBee F110 Wasp — a ready-to-fly micro quadcopter with 5.8G FPV that had everything you need for great indoor FPV flying. The F110 immediately became a big hit and quickly ran out of stock at GearBest which was the only online store accepting orders for it.

And now in the wake of the F110’s overnight popularity comes the FuriBee F90 Wasp — a scaled down version of the bigger F110. In fact, the F90 is almost identical to the F110 except for its size and a few other features making the F90 a great choice for those who feel that the F110 is too big to be called a true-blue Tiny Whoop. With a diagonal size of 90mm, the F90 is almost within the 60-70mm range of what most consider genuine Tiny Whoop territory.

Product Highlights
  • 90mm diagonal motor size
  • SP Racing F3 Evo Brushed flight controller
  • Carbon fiber frame
  • 600TVL camera with built-in 5.8G FPV (48 channels)
  • 25mW VTx
  • Control range: about 1km (outdoors) / 300m (indoors)
  • 7.4V 400mAh Li Po battery (included)
  • Flight time: about 5 minutes
  • PPM, SBus, DSM receiver compatibility
  • Voltage alarm buzzer
  • Micro USB port

Interestingly, despite its smaller size, the F90 uses the same 7.4V 400mAh battery that comes supplied with its bigger sibling. However, the F90 is not compatible with 3S batteries while the F110 is which means the F90 will probably fly slower than the F110 (with a 3S battery). This isn’t an issue if you’re mostly flying in tight indoor spaces.

The F90 also uses the same 8.5mm motors as the F110 but with shorter 44mm three-blade propellers (60mm on the F110). Other similarities include the same flight controller, DSMX/DSM2 compatibility and 600TVL camera.

The 5.8G FPV system is where the F90 differs a lot from the F110. While the F110 features switchable video transmitter power (25mW / 200mW / 600mW), the F90 is fixed at 25mW. Also, the F90 features 48 channels while the F110 has 40 channels.

Judging from how fast the F110 sold out after it was released, I reckon the F90 will sell out just as fast as its bigger sibling. If you’re keen on getting a ready-to-fly Tiny Whoop, the FuriBee F90 looks like a great choice.

The FuriBee F90 is available in three versions:

At the moment, only Version 1 is available at GearBest with the other two versions expected to arrive soon. Take note that this version does not include a transmitter (remote controller) so you’ll have to get your own FrSky compatible transmitter if you’re purchasing this version.
